Description
The Supco SSN086KS Nitride Furnace Igniter is a silicon nitride based hot surface igniter for use in gas ignition of residential and commercial HVAC systems. It operates at 120VAC with 0.8–2 amps and 34–64 ohms resistance, heating rapidly to 1100–1400°C by Joule heating and auto-igniting gas without sparks. PTC ceramic material of its self regulates temperature so that it performs stably in furnaces. The durable silicon nitride construction is less breakable than fragile silicon carbide igniters, suitable for furnaces and gas heating appliances, with long service and consistent ignition, low maintenance and downtime.
