The Sporlan Controls 400232 Drier Core is used in many HVAC systems to safeguard refrigeration and air conditioning equipment from harm due to moisture and contaminants. This drier core essentially extracts moisture from the refrigerant stream and eliminates the formation of corrosive acids which can affect the efficiency of the system. The C-052-HH uses desiccant material which is normally a mixture of silica gel and alumina for the removal of water vapor. When the refrigerant passes through the core, the desiccant material absorbs moisture to assurance a dry and free-from-contaminants refrigerant circuit. This improves system dependability, equipment longevity, and total system efficiency.
