Description
The Sporlan Controls 168984 is a thermal expansion valve for use in HVAC systems with up to 4 tons of cooling capacity and R410A refrigerant. A heat pump or air conditioning system’s TXV, which controls the flow of refrigerant into the evaporator coil, is a crucial part. Through accurate regulation of refrigerant pressure and flow, the TXV guarantees peak system efficiency and performance. This is the manner in which it operates: Warm refrigerant vapor enters the TXV through a tiny aperture that is managed by a diaphragm. The diaphragm’s movement is influenced by the temperature and pressure of the refrigerant that exits the evaporator coil. This in turn regulates the size of the aperture, which regulates the volume of refrigerant that may flow through.
