Description
The Sporlan Controls 168777 is a thermal expansion valve specifically developed for use in HVAC systems with a cooling capacity of 10 tons and R22 refrigerant. It is a sweat connection valve, which means that its input and outlet diameters are 5/8 inches and 7/8 inches, respectively, and that it is soldered to copper tubing. TXVs are essential parts of air conditioning units. They control the amount of refrigerant that flows to the evaporator coil, which is in charge of removing heat from the ambient air. By detecting the temperature of the refrigerant leaving the evaporator, the TXV precisely adjusts the refrigerant flow to maintain a constant superheat.
