Description
The Sporlan Controls 154594 Thermostatic Expansion Valve (TXV) is a metering component, used to control the flow of R-22 refrigerant into the evaporator in HVAC systems. It plays the role of controlling the right amount of superheat by regulating the flow of refrigerant based on the load conditions, of the evaporator. It is actuated by a sensing bulb and internal diaphragm that are both linked with a 5′ external capillary that adjusts the orifice depending upon temperature and pressure. It is fitted to the refrigeration circuit with 3/8″ x 3/8″ ODF liquid line connections.
