Description
The Sporlan Controls 129320 is an 8-ton thermal expansion valve designed primarily for use in HVAC systems containing R22 refrigerant. It has a 7/8-inch outer diameter refrigerant line and a 1/2-inch sweat connector. Because they control the flow of refrigerant to the evaporator coil, TXVs are essential parts of air conditioning systems. This guarantees system efficiency and the best possible cooling performance. The TXV maximizes the cooling capacity of the evaporator by monitoring the temperature of the refrigerant exiting the evaporator and modifying the refrigerant flow to maintain the required superheat. This prevents the evaporator from freezing. Said another way, the TXV functions as an automated regulator, making sure the evaporator is cooled by receiving the ideal quantity of refrigerant.
