Description
The Sporlan Controls 129313 is an 8-ton thermal expansion valve (TXV) developed for use in commercial air conditioning systems that use R22 refrigerant. It plays a crucial role in maximising the efficiency and performance of the system by controlling the flow of liquid refrigerant into the evaporator coil. A sensor that is integrated inside the TXV continually measures the pressure inside the evaporator coil. The temperature differential between the refrigerant vapour exiting the evaporator and its saturation temperature at the current pressure is known as the superheat, and this is what the pre-set valve is designed to maintain. The TXV automatically modifies its internal channel based on the difference between the sensed pressure and the target superheat.
