The Sporlan Controls 124350 Thermostatic Expansion Valve (TXV) is a refrigerant flow control valve that regulates liquid coolant entry into the evaporator by responding to suction line temperature and pressure to maintain correct ambient temperature levels in HVAC systems It is rated for 30-ton capacity and calibrated for R404A refrigerant, using 1-1/8″ inlet and 1-3/8″ outlet connections for brazed line integration. It is positioned at the evaporator inlet section, where it meters chilled air based on cooling demand. This supports stable coil performance, reduces compressor strain caused by liquid return, and maintains balanced cooling output under various pressure parameters.
