Description
The Sporlan Controls 124308 Thermal Expansion Valve is a 20 ton R22 refrigerant control element measuring 7″ by 8″ and with 1-1/8″ ODF connection and is used to controls the refrigerant flow in cooling equipment. It operates by measuring temperature and pressure to adjust refrigerant feed to the evaporator to ensure that the evaporator has the correct amount of superheat to transfer heat efficiently. It is usually incorporated into HVAC systems like air conditioning or refrigeration units in commercial systems and is connected at the evaporator inlet in order to deliver refrigerant in a controlled manner.
