Description
The Sporlan Controls 124214 Tev, Ose-12-C,7X11, Odp 5Ft is a Thermostatic Expansion Valve for commercial and residential HVAC systems. It regulates the flow of refrigerant within the system to provide optimal cooling efficacy and efficiency. TEVs sense and operate based on the temperature of the refrigerant entering the evaporator coil. When the temperature drops below a set value, the TEV opens, increasing the flow of refrigerant. On the other hand, when the temperature rises, the TEV closes, limiting the flow of refrigerant and averting overcooling of the evaporator. This procedure maximizes cooling capacity while avoiding harm from overcooling by keeping the evaporator coil at a constant temperature.
