Description
The Sporlan Controls 109922 1/2-Ton Thermostatic Expansion Valve (TXV) is used in HVAC systems and operates with R-404A refrigerant. This TXV regulates the amount of cooling fluid that enters the evaporator coil depending on the temperature that has been measured. In this case, it keeps refrigerant flow to an optimum level enabling efficient transfer of heat and keeping the compressor from being damaged once liquid refrigerant gets into the evaporator. These are improved energy efficiency, improved system performance, and increased equipment life.
