Description
The Siemens Combustion AGR450240650 is an ultraviolet (UV) tube intended for industrial/commercial gas burner applications. Usually, the UV tube is incorporated into the burner assembly’s flame safety mechanism. UV light is released by the tube when it is powered on. The gas molecules trying to ignite close to the burner nozzle are interacting with this UV light. A little electrical current is produced by the interaction ionising the gas molecules. This electrical current is detected by the flame protection system, verifying the existence of a flame. This check guarantees that gas flow happens only once a flame is generated, which is essential for safe operation. A safety shutoff is triggered by the flame safeguard system if it fails to detect the expected current, which indicates a failed ignition or flame loss.
