Description
The Schneider Electric (Barber Colman) METSECTR30500 Ropestyle Current Transformer is a 5000A adjustable current sensing unit designed to measure high current flow in electrical monitoring circuits to assist in proper management of power in HVAC systems when operating. It works by sensing the magnetic field surrounding a conductor and translating it into a similar low-level signal to be fed to connected meters or controllers. The sensor is coiled around the conductor, and can be installed in electrical panels without being intrusive.
