Description
The Rheem-Ruud SP12159B Drain Valve is a round poly water discharge component designed for residential water heater tanks providing a controlled outlet for draining stored water during servicing, or flushing operations. It is fitted at the lower section of the tank where it connects through a threaded port, allowing water release for sediment removal and maintenance activities. It is used in electric and gas water heaters across residential and commercial setups where periodic tank drainage is required for proper internal condition within HVAC systems. It supports water heater operation by enabling secure water discharge for routine servicing and system upkeep, ending with steady equipment operation.
