Description
The Rheem-Ruud AP15607-1 Vent Hood Damper Assembly is a necessity for your kitchen ventilation system, specifically devised for Rheem-Ruud brand range hoods. This compact assembly made of robust aluminum, usually about 3-4” in plays an essential part in controlling the air flow and consequently keep the interior space comfortable and healthy. Picture a tiny gatekeeper inside your ductwork; that is essentially what it does. The damper stays shut when your range hood is turned off so as not to allow outside unconditioned air into your home. By doing so, it helps maintain stable temperature and reduces the energy consumed by HVAC system. But that’s where magic happens when you switch on your rangehood.
