Rheem-Ruud 61-42662-12 Thermal Expansion Valve is designed to provide better efficiency and performance of the HVAC systems. It controls the flow of refrigerant by measuring the temperature, and pressure of the evaporator. When the refrigerant enters, the valve controls the flow rate for superheat and increases system stability. Intended for 5-ton R-410A systems, it has a 1/2” sweat inlet, distributor outlet, and equalizer tube for equalized performance. It suits air conditioner and heat pumps to avoid overfeed or underfeed for energy saving. The 30” capillary tube and 24” equalizer tube are also used in the regulation of temperature.
