Description
The Reznor RZ103055 Replacement Transformer convert 120V primary power into a lower 24V secondary supply for heating control circuits. Its 40VA rating identifies the available power capacity, while the 50/60Hz specification corresponds to the applicable electrical frequency. Installed inside the electrical compartment, the transformer supplies low voltage AC power to zone valves, gas valve solenoids and primary control boards. Heating equipment in HVAC systems uses this reduced-voltage supply to operate connected control circuits from the higher incoming line voltage. The isolated primary and secondary windings provide the voltage conversion required for the equipments low-voltage control operations.
