Description
The Resideo DPL1040A5005 PowerPro Deluxe Definite Purpose Contactor is an electrically operated switching component used in control to manage high-current loads through a low-voltage signal. It features a 24-volt coil that energizes internal contacts to open or close a single power pole rated for up to 40 amps. It is commonly installed in air conditioning condensers, heat pumps, and packaged HVAC systems units to control compressors, fan motors, and other inductive loads. Within the system, it operates as the primary power-switching interface between the thermostat control circuit and high-voltage equipment, enabling secure and coordinated operation of cooling and heating cycles.
