The NTI Boiler 6000083218 Pressure Switch verifies proper venting, draft, and static air pressure inside high-efficiency boiler assemblies. Connected through 1/4-inch pressure sensing ports inside the combustion chamber of heating units in HVAC systems, the switch senses slight pressure differentials across its internal diaphragm during the pre-purge cycle. Reaching the required neutral pressure threshold closes the electrical safety contacts to allow main gas valve energization. Verifying draft velocity before ignition prevents unburned fuel accumulation, ensures safe flue gas evacuation, and supports stable combustion sequence timing.
