The Noritz DTJJ015 GFCI Lightning Protection is a ground-fault circuit interrupter with integrated lightning protection that safeguards the unit’s electrical circuit from its defects and voltage surges caused by lightning strikes or current line disturbances. It works by continuously monitoring current flow between the line and neutral conductors, interrupting the circuit within milliseconds when an imbalance indicates a ground-related problem in HVAC systems, while its surge protection element diverts transient voltage spikes away from the connected equipment. It is wired into the supply circuit at the power inlet of the unit using the indicated line and load terminal connections.
