The Nordyne 922140 3-Ton Compressor is a high performing part designed for use in HVAC systems especially air conditioning systems that utilize R-22 refrigerant. This compressor is of 3 ton and is suitable for moderate cooling requirement and hence can be used in homes and light commercial establishments. It operates on 208/230 volts single phase power hence the energy consumption is optimized. This compressor works in the same way that it compresses the refrigerant gas thus increasing pressure and temperature. The hot and pressurized gas is then allowed to flow to the condenser coil in which it cools and turns into liquid form, which is used to cool indoor climate.
