Description
The Mueller Industries A17940 is a 1-1/8 inch magnetic check valve manufactured from brass. It controls flow in piping systems by permitting the liquid or gas to flow in one direction and not the other. The valve has a magnet that keeps a flapper closed when there is no flow. Only when there is the necessary flow in the permitted direction, does the pressure open the flapper. Some of the most typical magnetic check valves are used in HVAC systems. One application is to stop the backflow of condensate, the water vapor that forms on air conditioning coils.
