Description
The Maxon 18117-N Flame Rod is designed to verify the presence of a burner flame and provide a confirmation signal to the ignition control circuit during combustion. When exposed to the burner flame, the rod detects flame rectification and transmits a signal that allows the control system to maintain normal burner operation while shutting off fuel if no flame is detected in HVAC systems. It is positioned within the burner assembly so the sensing element extend directly into the flame path. Continuous flame monitoring enhances combustion safety, supports accurate burner control and protects connected equipment from unsafe operating conditions.
