Description
The Manitowoc Ice 2007539 Start Relay functions as a vital electrical part that activates motor starting sequences in HVAC systems. This specialized relay functions to start motors by supplying high starting currents beyond normal running currents to compressor motors. The start relay functions using electromagnetic concepts and thermal controls. After the motor receives power the relay enables a brief current surge to activate the motor’s starting winding. The required torque for motor rotation is delivered by this system. When the motor achieves its target speed the relay automatically disconnects the starting winding to enable efficient operation with the running winding.
