Description
Manitowoc Ice 2000483 Start Capacitor serves as a vital electrical part that powers Manitowoc ice machines together with other equipment that operates on 115V at 60Hz in HVAC systems. The capacitor motor delivers additional torque to help motors start up under load conditions which commonly appear in refrigeration compressors. The starting winding of the motor connects in series with a capacitor inside the capacitor start motors. The capacitor generates a phase shift that produces enhanced starting torque. The motor’s speed triggers a centrifugal switch to disconnect both the starting winding and the capacitor from the circuit to enable the main winding operation.
