The Lochinvar & A.O. Smith 100268031 Gas Valve Assembly is an essential part of gas fired heating systems. This assembly requires a gas valve together with a pressure regulator and extra safety measures like a thermocouple or even a flame sensor. The gas valve is a solenoid type which is used to open and close to allow or to reduce the flow of the gas depending on the signals it receives from the thermostat and other safety parts. This allows the precise control of fuelling and emissions as well. The pressure regulator controls gas pressure to the burner to ensure continually and complete combustion.
