The Lochinvar & A.O. Smith 100110784 Magnesium Flexible Anode 3/4″X48″ NPT is a replacement anode rod that is used to eliminate corrosion on water heaters. This anode rod is compatible with Lochinvar and A.O. Smith water heaters, you cannot operate the heater without this component for optimum output and durability. It locates itself within the HVAC system while assuming the role of an expendable component. Magnesium is highly susceptible to corrosion and it draws corrosive ions to it leaving the other more valuable metal parts of your equipment unchanged.
