The Lennox 63W61 Dual Round Run Capacitor stores and releases electrical energy to maintain consistent voltage and current phase for two motors simultaneously, with a 40 MFD rating supporting the compressor and a 10 MFD rating supporting the condenser fan motor at up to 440 volts in HVAC systems. It works by supplying a continuous phase-shifted current to the start and run windings of each motor, reducing current draw at startup and maintaining smooth rotation throughout the operating cycle without requiring a separate capacitor for each motor and being mounted within the electrical section of condensing units and heat pumps.
