The Lennox 48L28 Collector Box Gasket is an exemplified component used in Lennox HVAC systems it the sealing between the collector box and the blower compartment. Although this seems to be a relatively minor part of the structure it is paradoxically one of the most critical in ensuring the of the system. Collector boxes are installed in different HVAC equipment such as air conditioners, and heat pumps. These contains main hardware items including evaporator coil and refrigerant tubes. When it is broken Air leaks can let unconditioned air into the treated air and hence decreasing the cooling capacity of the system and putting it under pressure to cool the room to the required temperatures.
