The Lennox 21N39 is a scale control insert used to prevent mineral deposits within the humidifier part of Lennox HVAC equipment especially air handling units. The minerals are deposits from the water and in concentrating, could buildup to form scales which in turn would slow down water flow through the humidifier as hampering the process of moisture addition to the air. This scale insert is made of steel It works by offering a surface where minerals can deposit and not onessential humidifier parts. Through trapping of scale deposits the insert protects the humidifier from degradation of its performance and also increases its to replace the insert to enhance the functioning of the humidifier and maintain a comfortable indoor climate.
