Description
The International Comfort Products 1191126 Limit Switch is a automatic-reset temperature-sensing component that opens its circuit at 150F and resets at 40F below the trip point when the heat exchanger surface temperature returns to a secure range in gas furnaces, HVAC systems, and air handling units. When restricted airflow, a blocked filter, or a failed blower allows the heat exchanger to climb beyond the rated trip point, the switch interrupts the control circuit, cutting the gas valve signal and shutting down the burners before flue gases can migrate outside the sealed heat exchanger.
