Description
The ICM Controls ICM517A-LITE Surge Protective Device is used to limit damage from voltage spikes by diverting excess electrical energy away from sensitive electronic equipment. It monitors incoming 120/240V single-phase power and reacts instantly to transient surges up to 60kA, protect components such as control boards, compressors, and motors. In HVAC systems, it is used at the electrical disconnect or panel feeding the equipment, where it stabilizes incoming power and reduces electrical load during grid disturbances or switching events. It includes a status indicator that shows when protection is active and operational.
