It is mounted on the furnace or boiler combustion blower housing and rotates the fan to form the draft required before and during ignition. It assisted in sealing the assembly to avoid leakage of air. It assists to provide an adequate draft and the safe elimination of flue during heating operation by turning on the combustion blower.
