Description
The Watts 40XL-7-1 temperature and pressure relief valve is a safety component designed to release excess pressure or elevated temperature from water-heating equipment when operating conditions exceed the valves rated limits. Within HVAC systems that use heated water it provides a protective by opening when the internal conditions reach the specified relief point preventing excessive pressure from affecting connected equipment. The valve features a 1-inch connection, a 7-inch stem, and a 150 PSI pressure rating. It is fitted into the designated piping connection, where its sensing and relief action provides an additional layer of protection during system operation.
