Emerson Flow Control (Alco) 060933 Sealed Oil Separators are essential to HVAC systems, particularly about the optimisation of compressors. These 1/2” ODF separators are used to filter out refrigerating oil from the refrigerant gas so that the oil does not flow back to the compressor which is counterproductive and may harm the compressor. The separator works through the oil-refrigerant mixture passing through an inlet then through a filtration system and baffles. Accumulated water, other sediments and debris reside at the base while the petroleum product at the top and the refrigerant gas evaporates at the top as well.
