The Emerson Flow Control Alco 057313 HC 8-Ton Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) is an essential part for mid to large-scale refrigeration and HVAC systems. This TXV is for 8-ton applications with 5/8″ and 7/8″ ODF fittings. Through the help of this part, regulates the amount of the liquid refrigerant that enters the evaporator depending on the prevailing temperature detected by the thermostat. This makes for better flow of refrigerant hence efficiency of the system, reduced power consumption, better cooling capacity, and even improved on the performance of the entire system.
