The Emerson Flow Control (Alco) 054981 Thermostatic Expansion Valve precisely controls refrigerant flow in refrigeration and air conditioning system. This circuit controls refrigerant flow with the use of a temperature sensor, especially in its evaporator part. This dynamic control enhances system efficiency because it does not allow liquid refrigerant to flow into the compressor, which is harmful. The 054981 model has 3/8” X 1/2” SAE Angle connections, which are ideal for use in different HVAC equipment such as residential and commercial air conditioners, refrigerators, and freezers.
