Emerson Flow Control (Alco) 054892 1/2-Ton Thermal expansion valve is used to control the refrigerant flow in an HVAC system to provide the right cooling and heating. This valve has inlet and outlet connections of 3/8”SAE and 1/2”SAE and it is ideal for use in air conditioning and heat pump systems. It works by ensuring that right amount of refrigerant is circulated into the evaporator to achieve efficient, proper and energy usage function of the system. The valve has a stainless steel power element that is not easily corroded to increase the valve’s longevity and performance.
