The Emerson conditions-White Rodgers 789A-820KT1 Nitride Ignitor is a high-performance replacement ignitor suitable for Trane HVAC systems and having a working voltage of 120V. This hot surface ignitor uses the latest silicon nitride material which is far much better in heat and abrasion resistance than the silicon carbide ignitors. When the thermostat is activated to call for heat, the ignitor quickly heats up and turns bright red hot to ignite the gas that has been admitted into the burner assembly. This makes it appropriate to start combustion so that the furnace will provide the necessary and right heat.
