Description
The Emerson conditions-White Rodgers 789A-707A1 Hot Surface Ignitor is an essential part of gas furnaces, particularly for use as pilotless ignition systems. This ignitor operates at 120V and is built with a nitride material that is resistant to high temperatures for consistent ignition of the gas burner assembly. When the furnace gets a signal from the thermostat, electricity passes through the ignitor heating to the right temperature to burn the gas. The advantage of the ignitor saves energy since it has been established that it consumes less gas than pilot lights that burn constantly.
