Description
The Dwyer Instruments PG-153-P1 is a single-pole, double-throw mercury gas switch that is often used in HVAC equipment to control gas flow based on temperature fluctuations. It includes a maximum deadband of 4 inches of water column and a pressure range of 1 to 30 inches of water column. A tilting mercury capsule mechanism is used in this switch. The mercury tilts when the temperature exceeds the specified point, which causes a circuit closure and turns on related appliances including air conditioners, boilers, and furnaces. Avoiding excessive pressure buildup or temperature variations inside the system guarantees safe and effective operation. The switch also has a NEMA 1 general-purpose enclosure and a sturdy design that makes it suited for a variety of environmental circumstances.
