Description
The Duff-Norton 440493C 3” Carbon Steel Rotary Union is used in transferring fluids between stationary and rotating parts. It enables flow through the connected parts to be unimpeded as these rotate without twisting the hose and causing damage. In HVAC systems they are used in rotary air handling units, chillers and other rotating equipment where the fluid transfer of heat is required. Advantages include no leakage during operation, less time off due to hose problems, and higher equipment performance. The carbon steel construction provides the needed durability and also the ability to withstand damage in harsh HVAC environments.
