The DiversiTech 340-408 is a start capacitor that will help your single-phase HVAC equipment start-up easily. It supplies a steep voltage impulse to the motor to help it get past the inertia and work at optimum full speed. This capacitor is normally applied in air conditioners, refrigerators and other HVAC applications with motors not exceeding 5 horsepower. It is 110/125 volts and has microfarads µF capacitance range. This means that it can hold a large amount of electrical energy to furnish the boost required by your motor at start-up.
