Description
The Daikin-McQuay 106163025 is a 1/8 horsepower dual-shaft electric motor intended for use in household and commercial air conditioning systems. It uses conventional 115-volt AC power and has a dual shaft design that enables it to drive two different internal components. The motor’s internal windings produce a spinning magnetic field when they are powered, and this causes the associated shafts to rotate as well. The evaporator blowers and condenser fan blades are two examples of the parts of the air conditioner that receive power from these shafts. This rotation helps the system circulate air, which permits effective heat exchange and, in turn, keeps the building’s ideal levels of comfort.
