Description
The Copeland Comfort Control (Alco) 058119 Externally Equalized TXV measures the flow of refrigerant into the evaporator by adjusting the valve opening in response to changes in outlet conditions. Its connection provides pressure input from the evaporator outlet, while the sensing element and 5′ capillary transmit temperature changes to the valve mechanism. Installed in the refrigerant circuit with 3/8″ and 1/2″ sweat connections it controls refrigerant supply to the evaporator in HVAC systems. The 1.5-ton capacity supports the specified cooling load while the outside equalization design maintains controlled refrigerant flow as evaporator conditions change.
