Description
The Carrier HK42ER238 is a Motor Module of ECM X-13, which is an innovative technology that replaces PSC motors in Carrier’s HVAC systems. This unit is small in size 5.6” x 5.5” x 1.6”, has 1/3 horsepower, and operates at 50/60 Hz, with an Electronically Commutated Motor for efficiency. While PSC motors run at a constant speed, ECMs are characterized by variable speed operation. It accurately controls the motor speed according to the system requirement and provides multiple benefits. ECMs are found to be superior to PSC motors because they are less noisy, energy efficient, and provide comfort to the environment because they regulate temperatures.
