Description
The Carrier EA36YP144 is a Thermostatic Expansion Valve, seen in many HVAC systems including air conditioners and heat pumps. Its function is essential to control of refrigerant flow throughout the system. The bi metallic coil used on this TXV expands and contracts with temperature change. The opening of a valve to let the just right amount of refrigerant into the evaporator coil is controlled by this expansion and contraction. This valve maintains the desired temperature in the evaporator coil optimizing system performance and efficiency.
