The Carrier CPHEATER132A02 20kW Heat Kit is a supplemental electric heating component that uses resistance heat for compatible Carrier packaged units, and air handlers. It is fitted in the internal air distribution path of the unit to provide extra heat when the outside conditions are beyond the ability of the base heating system to handle. It is compatible with the controls of the system to interact and assist in maintaining the temperature. It helps to achieve balanced thermal output and smooth change between heating and cooling cycles.
