The Carrier B03811-13 1/2HP ECM EON Motor is a highly efficient motor for use in HVAC system applications. It used Electronically Commutated Motor technology, which is fast becoming the favorite motor technology for various applications as compared to classic AC motors. ECM motors are fully controlled by electronics and, therefore, can be set to any speed and torque. This leads to a reduction of energy wastage as opposed to normal motors, the fact that these motors will only rotate at speeds that are proportional to the current load. Also, the ECM motors work with low noise, have a long service period, and low vibration levels.
