Description
The Carrier 08220034 3-pole contactor is used in HVAC systems. It is an essential part that regulates the supply of electrical current to some of the broad components of the system for example, the compressor, fan and heater. In other words, it serves as a high power switch which can switch electrical circuits at high speeds and with high reliability. The contactor is a system that works through an electromagnetic process. If a low voltage control signal is applied on the contactor coil, then a magnetic field is produced. This magnetic field draws a moving iron core, which in turn makes the main power contacts close.
